TEXUS 48 sounding rocket mission
November 27, 2011 - TEXUS 48 was a suborbital research and technology mission that was launched at ESRANGE which is situated close to the town of Kiruna in northern Sweden. Powererd by the brazilian two stage VSB-30 sounding rocket TEXUS 48 reached a peak altitude of 263 km. Three technological and biological experiments were successfully performed benefitting from the roughly six minutes of microgravity conditions on board.I had the opportunity to follow and document the launch campaign. For covering the launch I had installed two cameras close to the launch tower. I followed the launch from "Radar Hill", which is situated just over 2 km from the launch tower. TEXUS 48 was truly successful - also concerning the photos.
