Spectrum Launch Campaign
January 21, 2026 - The campaign for the second test flight of Isar Aerospace's 'Spectrum' launch vehicle kicked-off in early 2026.
The 'Upwards and Onwards' mission is set to launch a series of small satellites into space for the first time.
The eagerly awaited mission will also validate the launch system for commercial use.
So there is a lot at stake.
The weather conditions at the space center near Nordmela on the northern Vesterålen island of Andøya were perfect - which
is not a given in the winter months. In addition, the tail end of a solar storm provided
spectacular northern lights at night.
Unfortunately, technical problems arose on the launch day, leading to a delay. The launch window in
January could therefore not be used.
